A month ago, at 12 days:
Today, at 6 weeks:
Somebody’s been filling out quite nicely! And has been making the most of her handknit PJs :) She needs a few new pieces soon, methinks. Good thing I've been able to cut out a couple of Minikrea patterns today. I'm hoping to be able to get to the sewing machine tomorrow; and to record a new podcast pretty soon. With a big giveaway. I cannot wait!
In the meantime, I've been able to get a little bit of knitting done.
Seb and I are joining skills to make a crib mobile. I've knit 4 birds and all we need to do now is balance them all together onto the mobile frame that Seb built.
Thank you so, so much for all your good wishes on the arrival of my daughter. This has certainly added further to the happiness of these times. Also, there hasn't been a day over the past couple of weeks when the mailbox hasn't yielded a new package from a friend for our little one. And wait till I show you what my friends of our knitting group have made... I am completely blown away. So much love and kindness.
I do hope to share the handmade gifts our little girl has received in a future post. For now, this has taken me long enough to write! I know this will sound utterly cliché, but this post was indeed written one-handedly while nursing: it seems to be the only time I have for the computer these days!

Isabelle,
Thank you so, so much for the updated photos of your lovely, beautiful baby daughter! What a joy it is just to see her here, and to contemplate your and Seb's joy with her arrival in your family. It looks like your nursing pillow has come in very handily and it's adorable to see Baby sleeping blissfully while you are able to knit. I love the idea of the hanging bird mobile! I'm sure it will be fascinating for her little eyes to see. Many blessings!
It's so nice to see your post today and to hear that all is well. Your daughter is certainly growing! She is so precious.
Wow, she has grown so much and she is smiling already! the first few months are such an adjustment, I am sure that you will get more knitting done in the days to come.
But for now, keep doing what you are doing, things are obviously good in your life.
Quel amour, elle vraiment l'ai de se porter comme un charme !!!
Et en plus tu trouves le temps de tricoter et de coudre, tu m'épates !!!
Bravo et bonne continuation

6 weeks already... wow... She is sooo BEAUTIFUL, Isabelle! What joy to see her. And looking so pretty in her knit PJs... too cute! Looking forward to more baby pics and stories as time allows. Thinking of you all :o) ((LOVE & HUGS))
Isabelle,
She is so beautiful! And it is always fun to see how fast they grow! :-))
She is beautyful!
I am looking forward to see what you make her from the MIikrea patterns!
Thank you for posting an update - and enjoy the rest of your maternity leave!
Oh what gorgeous photos!! How much she looks like you already!
The knit PJ are so beautiful and I love the idea for the bird-mobile.
I'm still driving to the library once a week to check e-mail. Just trying to figure out a way to dump my Internet provider from the home computer. Since there is NO computer at home, I just can't see continuing to pay $21.95 a month for service that I don't/can't use.
Do you use Facebook anymore? Haven't been there in a while (I wonder why?). For the first week or so I thought I was missing everything and the world was passing me by. Now I'm starting to enjoy being "unplugged". Bought a bunch of postage stamps today....I might just go "old-school" and write some letters!
Hope we can still keep in touch, even though I've been 'deleted' from the 21st Century.
Ah, so sweet! I smiled the whole time I was reading and looking at the pictures. She is growing so well, good job, mama!
Hihi, ça pousse, ça pousse!
Quel regard et quel sourire! Profites-en!
I love seeing those adorable PJs in action on an adorable baby! I remember those days of typing while nursing...
Such a pretty little girl. Treasure these days - they fly by!
So precious. Those days pass too quickly.
She is beautiful!Enjoy her! Those days are priceless, even if you walk around sleepless most of the time =)
I can't tell you how excited and happy I am for you with the birth of your precious daughter. What a beautiful ray of sunshine. :) I can certainly appreciate your one-handed post - you did a great job. I hope you can continue to send out little snippets like it every now and then! Looking forward to the next podcast too. :D
Glad to hear things are going well, she's looking gorgeous.
