I am going hiking in the Alps for a couple of weeks. I haven't had a holiday since the week Seb and I spent in Sweden after our wedding 3 years ago! P'tite Mignonne is coming along, and it's going to be fabulous.
Just because a post without pictures is a bit sad, here's a shot of what I bought in London last month (with my cotton shawl finished and blocked in the background - haven't had a chance for real pretty pictures of it yet).
These are a couple of fabrics printed by Liberty for the V&A quilt exhibition (Nicki, I did end up going back there and snatching a few!), and hand-dyed yarn from John Lewis with colours too yummy to pass.
Happy July, everyone! Many heartfelt thanks to those of you still reading and commenting - I really appreciate your sticking with me despite my sparse posting this year. :)

Enjoy your vacation! It is much deserved! 3 years is way to long to wait for a vacation.
Have a wonderful, wonderful time! x
I recognise that fabric! ;) P'tite Mignonne seems to approve! And that yarn looks gorgeous. As does the shawl and your top in the earlier post :)
Have a wonderful holiday!
Wow Isabelle - no vacation in three years. It is high time!! Have a wonderful holiday in the alps.
Your crocheting is lovely.
hugs, Margaret
Enjoy your hiking holiday. Where will P'tite Mignonne stay in the Alps? Hopefully she will have a pleasant kitty holiday too!

Enjoy your holidays. Have a good rest (mentally mainly) so you have enough energy for the workyear ahead.
I love that you are making such beautiful crocheted garments. The top in your last post is scrumptous! Have a great vaca!
Re-bonjour !
Passes de bonnes vacances dans les Alpes, tu ne seras pas loin de chez moi !!
Gros bisous !
Have a lovely holiday Isabelle.
I bought some of the turquoise fabric as well to make a dress for Rosie
Have a wonderful vacation! I hiked with my French family near Annecy and Col de Colombine. Beautiful and great exercise! Your new crochet projects are beautiful and very flattering.

Isabelle, what a lovely shawl!

Enjoy your vacation!
Congrats on the holiday - you deserve it!!
But I'm so confused - how do you get a cat to come on holiday with you? Our Bosco would be traumatised just by being in the cat carrier for an hour, let alone new surroundings (that don't move with the tide!).
Have a wonderful holiday! I'm going hiking for my vacation also...in Yellowstone!
ENJOY your holiday, Isabelle--very well deserved! Hope you'll have photos for us! Lovely London treats... looks like Miss Cutie approves too. ;o) We' hope to have a little weekend away soon--it's been a tough time lately, and now I'm working on getting over a cold, not fun to have a cold in summer... so a break will be great soon! Happy Days, my friend ((HUGS))
Have a lovely time in the Alps. Had a great time catching up with your blog.
Love all your projects and believe it or not you have inspired me to try out crocheting which I have always avoided. So perhaps this time I will learn it.
Coucou...
Je n'ose plus trop t'écrire, mais j'espère que tout va bien pour toi et je te souhaite de très bonnes vacances.
Amicalement, bises,
Marie
Have fun in the Alps Isabelle! Ann
