I mean, we did. Who am I kidding?
Pictures of the finished result soon. It's a skirt (Simplicity 2655), and it's super cute, while being work appropriate. I wore it to work yesterday. Yay me! I am already paying the consequences of this short break, but I was going to go insane if I didn't get to sew at least a little over the weekend. I cut out the skirt on Saturday and whipped it up in a couple of hours on Sunday evening.

Back to work! Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend, and is having a good start of the week.

Yay! Can't wait!
It's reassuring to see that I'm not the only one with such a wonderful "helper" when she sews!
The patter looks cute, I can;t wait to see it amde up!
It's always such a relief to come back to sewing, even for a quickie project! How did you get such great photos??? Tripod or photographer?
What great pictures. That's one cute cat and I bet that skirt is pretty cute too!
Yay !!
My cat does exactly the same thing - keeping an eye on the project, tearing the pattern tissue, generally 'helping'... I love how she's included in all the photos!
Yay! Can't wait to see it.
contente que tu reprends la couture, aidée par ton assistante perso!

She sews...HOORAY! Can't wait to see the finished skirt--that pattern looks very cute! I like the "ruffly" hem! And Miss Cutie--helpful and beautiful as ever... *sigh*... ;o) Happy Days, my friend ((HUGS))
Tu as bien fait de faire une pause couture au milieu de ton travail prenant. Tu mérites bien une petite récréation, j'en suis sûre. J'ai hâte de voir une photo de toi avec ta nouvelle jupe! Amitiés
That skirt looks cute. Can't wait to see the finished product. My cats use the pattern tissue as a mini kitty ice-skating pond. They run from a distance and then slide as far as they can on the tissue, usually leaving claw holes in everything. Your helper seems a bit more subdued.
some days, a little sewing therapy is just what you need. the pattern is very cute.
You are so talented, Isabelle! I was saying to Niek this morning that if the kids keep growing at this rate, I'll have too learn how to make clothes just to keep us afloat - I know where to go with questions!! ;) (I wouldn't bother you like that, I promise!)
Oh, good for you! You do need to sneak away at times and just sew. I see your lovely little helper is right by your side.
Aaaawww.. just like my beautiful cat, except mine is pure white (and therefore leaves heaps of white fur all over my fabric!!). She likes to sit on my lap when I am at my machine. Can't wait to see what you sew up.
Aawww, I love your little fluffy companion!! (like your clothes too, lol!)
And the picture of the finished skirt being modelled, hm? *taps feet*
;)
You have mosaic floors! And big windows! And wrought iron-work just outside! And palm trees! Bliss.
