A Quickie

Here is a top I made a few months ago, after the Cyclamen Top. It is the same pattern - New Look 6470, this time with bell sleeves.
Apart from the first one, the pictures were taken (not by me, for a change) a month ago. I was sorting through some files to get ready before my new computer arrives, and realized I never published these here.
This is the Canal Saint-Martin... One of my favourite spots in Paris.

I've been working on a black lace blouse this week. The sheer and delicate fabric requires extra care - but it's been fun and rewarding so far.
The pattern is Newlook 6660. Don't laugh - it is designed for juniors, but I fell in love when I saw the envelope in a fabric store, and didn't realize it was a junior pattern. Doesn't matter.

I'm still without a stable computer, by the way, and trying to be patient about it. :)

Happy weekend, everyone!

Lovely top and lovely scenery. Regarding the lace top - it doesn't matter that it is a junior's pattern, what matters is that it fits and that you love the garment. I'm sure you will be quite beautiful in it!

the color of the top suits you well..
lovely scenery , thank you for sharin ghte pictures..
since you are petite then a "Junior" size wouldn't be ok on you?
hope your new computer would arrive soon so you can be around more often.

Lovely top, and Canal Saint-Martin is a lovely place to be.
I would have fallen in love with the Newlook 6660 too.
By the way, you are responsible for my sewing fewer of this week. I've discovered your blog last week, and it was the incentive I was lacking to sew clothes for me. Thanks for that.

I love this top (especially the sleeves) and it fits you so well!

I don't understand why the Newlook pattern is designed for juniors, I think it is perfect for all ages.

Hope your new computer will be here soon.

(((hugs)))

Wonderfull. I love the bell arms - they are so romantic (especially with the wonderull background). I'm looking forward to see what you created with the lace blouse pattern. This is a very pretty piece.

bonjour,

I love the blouse with the bell sleeves. This type of sleeve suits me very well and is also very easy to move around with an active lifestyle. I love the lace blouse too. I have only worked with lace in regards to doll clothes, so perhaps it would be easier to make something in "human size"!

Your new top looks beautiful! Great scenery.

I think the new pattern you bought will be great. Who cares that it is a junior pattern. I think it is "adult" enough for sure.

That pattern is lovely. I think a junior pattern would be a perfect size for you. I wish they still fit me. Somehow when we age, even though our measurements may not be that different, the proportions are all different, at least that's the case for me - sadly.
