Making a top doesn't get any easier than this. Only two pattern pieces, and yet the top doesn't look basic, but subtly sophisticated... This would be an ideal pattern for a beginner wanting to learn how to sew with knits.
For a change, I didn't have to take the pictures with my tripod and timer - Seb willingly obliged, and there's a definite difference in the pictures' atmosphere. He kept goofing around, and made me laugh so hard!

Of course, he had to leave again yesterday for another 10 days... and then another week... and so on. Four months to go, and our lives will be back to normal! Yay :)

On peut difficilement trouver plus facile que ce haut ! Il a pourtant l'air subtilement sophistiqué... Ce serait un patron idéal pour un(e) semi-débutant(e) qui souhaiterait se familiariser avec la couture des jerseys.
Pour une fois, je n'ai pas pris les photos moi-même avec trépied et retardateur, mais j'ai eu droit à une séance photo avec mon photographe préféré... Evidemment, la séance s'est terminée dans des éclats de rire !

J'aime beaucoup la couleur et bravo pour la couture en jersey (c'est pénible je trouve) mais le résultat est parfait :)

I love the neckline on this top, and the color is totally one I would have picked as well! Our coloring is very similar, though. I also love the Nannetta dress, I just didn't have a chance to comment on it. I especially love the eyelet fabric.
That's really lovely, and so sophisticated, you're right! I've got a similar RTW top and I wear it to death... I might just have to grab this pattern to recreate it before it dies the inevitable death!

Love the color. I would like to try this top as I like interesting necklines. Do you think I could make this neckline design with the short sleeves of the other design on the pattern cover? I really like sleeveless tops, but my arms are not so young and toned anymore.

This is one of the first tops I made when I started sewing again. In fact, I've made three veiws of this top. Don't you just love it? It's so easy, but the results are perfect!

Je repasse au français : ce matin je suis (enfin) retournée au bureau de poste où j'avais posté ton cadeau pour déposer une réclamation, mais comme ce n'était pas un colissimo, le préposé ne m'a pas laissé beaucoup d'espoir, snif ...

I love this too! Hmm... I have not tried sewing with knits before but I think I should give it a go. I have an easy pattern much like this one - I will see how far I get with the instructions!
