Hi friends! :)
I hope you are all well. Please forgive me for the hundreds of unread feeds, and consequently of entries that I haven't read and commented upon. Being consistently present online is going to be truly difficult until mid-July. Please know that I am not forgetting any of you, and that I miss visiting you and seeing what you've all been up to!
However, I took a day and the whole weekend off work. Boy, I needed the break - and I sewed up a storm! Let me tell you friends, it felt SO good to get finally started on my transitional weather wardrobe.
Here's what I made:
1. I finally finished what I always think of as Summerset's top - namely, the wrap top from the Burda January issue, whose pattern Summerset traced for me and for which she sent the perfect fabric.
I wore it to a dinner party at my brother's yesterday, and got lots of compliments. :)
I also made, from start to finish:
2. Vogue 8411, in a gorgeous, sleek, supersoft moiré burgundy silken poly. I seriously altered and personalized this little number!
3. Vogue 2980, in a funky moka-black print
Seb and I also walked for a good few hours on Saturday (one of our favourite hobbies); we stopped at the Marché Saint-Pierre on our way, to find the perfect fabric for my future trench (from the Burda February issue):
Choosing the fabric with Seb was special (he enjoyed the moment as much as I did!), and I know it will make the project even more precious; we settled upon a stunning wrinkled moiré taffetas, in a deep wine red shot with black. The cost was very reasonable, too. I absolutely cannot wait to get started on this feminine trench.
I'll take pictures with my tripod during the week to show you the finished garments, OK?
Hope you all had a nice weekend. I'll do my best to be back soon, and to visit each of you as soon as possible!

:) A bientôt ! (j'espère...)

Glad to see you are doing well! Can't wait to see your creations!
Oh, I love trench coats! I can't wait to see yours. And I love the thought of you and Seb being able to enjoy some time together shopping for fabrics and enjoying a walk. :D
Next time you make it over to Amsterdam, if you have a spare hour or two, let me know. I think Arden and I are ready to travel. ;)
Ah, no need to read ALL those past blogs. It's just good to see you sewing and blogging again yourself. When your life settles down again you will have more time for reading and commenting.
Nice to hear from you Isabelle! Looking forward to seeing the photos.
Hi, Isabelle, oh gracious. I can't wait to see what you have created. I have been enjoying my January BWOF tops and I love seeing your work! :) Regards, Rose
IT's going to be gorgeous!!
Glad you're back! I can't wait to see pictures of your creations!
It's good to hear from you again! Looks like you have been busy...
Hi Isabelle,
don't put any pressure to read all the unread feeds just relax. It's more important that you are o.k. than commenting on everybodys blog.
I really like some fome the patterns and will look forward to seeing the fabric that Seb and you chose :)
Hello my dear friend !
I'm relieved to see you taking a little break, cause you know : "Le travail c'est la santé, rien faire (de temps en temps) c'est la préserver" ...
And I'm glad to see soon all your new garnments, cause they're always pretty !
Big kisses and don't worry about what you don't have time to do, but enjoy what you're doing !
Contente d'avoir de tes nouvelles!

Hi Isabelle :-)
Dear Isabelle,
Glad to know that you got some sewing time finally and were able relax a bit. Look forward to seeing your creations.
Oh my friend, I can't wait to see your creations!
MANY (((HUGS)))) AND HAPPY WISHES!
These are all great patterns. I'll check back to see what you do with them.
Have fun!
Hi sweety ,
glad to hear from you and to read you..take care of yourself and i send you lots of kisses......
As, ever can't wait to see your finished creations! That wrap top and trench coat look fab! We're off on holiday this Thurday for two weeks, but I hope to post while we're away. Thinking of you and sending ((LOVE & HUGS))
I'm happy you're back, I missed you! Now I want photos, photos, photos!!!
This in-between seasons time of year is often wildly busy for me as well. I'm glad you had a wee bit of time for some creativity, because being able to indulge in making beautiful things really does restore the soul. *hugs* and lots of wishes for your work and research to go well. When it's over, you'll have to go pick an armful of flowers and fling them into the air with wild abandon in the middle of a beautiful field. hehe :)
My dear friend, I'm happy to know that you finally managed to sew. I can't wait to see your creations! And it is so great that you chose the fabric of the trench with Seb :)
BTW, the french version of your entry doesn't work (there is nothing to read)... I don't mind as I understand your english version, but I know some people don't understand english...
(((big hugs)))
Merci Sylvie...
Quel navigateur utilises-tu ?
Gros bisous :)
Sit back, read what you can, sew when you can, enjoy your life, and don't stress out about keeping up with all of the sewing blogland.
It will go on, and be there when you are less busy, and will easily forgive you for not keeping up with every instant of what has gone on.
Take some pressure off yourself.
You've got a great design aesthetic, so occasional pics of what you're working on will be great.
Justine
It's nice to see that you've been sewing. I can't wait to see the pictures of the pieces that you've finished. The trench coat should be fun and I can't wait to see it, either. In the meantime, try not to work too hard!
Flo
