She Quilts in Beauty

Hi everyone. Sorry for not posting all week! It's been one of those weeks... Let's just say that things haven't been all rosy and cosy.
Before sharing pictures and a review of Simplicity 3673 with you (pictures were taken last weekend!), I wished to devote a post to a very special gift Seb and I received from Summerset earlier this week.
First, we gasped at the stamp date.
(There was a slight problem with the names on the envelope... it still seems an awful long time though!!)
Then we gasped at the contents.

Summerset made us an incredibly special and personal crazy quilted art card. She designed it from beginning to end. The blue fabric is very close in colour and texture to my dupioni gown!

The first picture was taken without the flash to show the true colours better. However, it's very grey over Paris and the picture is slightly blurry... So here's a second picture with the flash, less true to the card's colours, but which shows the details better.

Summerset even stitched a kitty face at the bottom of the quilted card. The details are a-ma-zing. I wish you could all see the beads and stitches for real!

Thank you again, Summerset, from the two of us. Having one of your works of art is such an honour! Thank you.
~*~
Have a great day, everyone.

How beautiful and delicate looking this is :) Thank goodness it finally arrived, the mail is strange sometimes with how long it takes!
Your pictures of Robin and your family are as nice as ever, my little nephew was 1yr old the other day but I very rarely see him so you are lucky :)
Thanks for enquiring where I have been :) I hope you have a nice week ahead.

Wow! I really love this! I took a special interest when you said 'art card' as I make them too, but only add fabric as some elements. What a treasure!
