After waiting for my fabric for a looong time, and then putting the project on hold to stitch a gift and finish an exchange, I finally managed to finish the Janvier block of the "Petites Maisons" SAL this week. I also started the Février block.
As planned here, I'm using a dove grey fabric and substituting the colours with DMC linen threads and a few muted cotton colours.
Now for the sewing finish!
Here's my first project with a Liberty fabric; I got it from Ebay last December.
After much thinking, I decided to make a tunic.

The pattern is the same as for the tunic I made for my little sister. It is a French pattern, by Citronille.
This babycord is unutterably soft - this is what I wear as a "reward" when I've run on the elliptical.

Remember my challenge for Spring?

Since the tunic, I've finished a dress (from another New Look pattern) and a circle skirt (that took me an hour and a half last night), as well as a small AOK that is winding its way to someone.
I've been feeling more like sewing than stitching lately.
Have a lovely day, everyone!

BEAUTIFUL tunic, Isabelle! It looks like it would be such a great feeling to just cuddle up in that. And the print! That's adorable! :) I didn't know you ran. I look like I'm made out of spare parts from different people when I try to - they've given up on me at the gym and just have me walk really fast. LOL!
Thank you for sharing all this Isabelle, you stitched/sewed loads! ;-D
Very pretty tunic-that is one of my most favorite styles of shirts.
That tunic looks soo pretty and comfy, Isabelle!! And you'll have Little Miss Cuties with you wherever you go... :o)
Great start on Les Petites Maisons... I look forward to seeing your progress.
Your tunic is lovely and such great fabric. I love those muted houses too, I've printed out the charts but have no idea when I'll get to stitch them. You've been so productive!
Love your French houses WIP so far Isabelle :)
That's a beautiful tunic - the print is really pretty and it looks so comfortable. Glad to see that you're getting some time for crafting now {{{{hugs}}}. Will email you very soon :)

Great start on the houses, Isabelle. I like the colors that you are using. Very soft and pretty. Speaking of soft, that tunic looks wonderful! I'm glad that you use it for a reward for your hard work in exercising. :)
The tunic is beautiful!!!
And your January house is lovely...I like the soft colors you chose
YOur tunic is absolutely beautiful and so is P'tite Mignonne :)
I like your new SAL. Do you already know how you will finish it?
((big hugs)))
The tunic is beautiful, and looks like it would be wonderful for curling up in with a cup of tea. I love your monthly houses...the muted soft colors are beautiful.
I love the way you are working the Petite Maisons....I started mine but individually...have not a clue how I will finish them tho. I'm going to keep the French names on it...that's my favorite part of it.
I love your Janvier block :) I started it too but I'm doing them separately - I thought it would be fun to change them over each month :)
Love the tunic and that fabric! It's perfect and looks so cosy and comfortable :)
Your Janvier block is so pretty Isabelle. Your color choices are perfect!!! Seeing it makes me a little sorry I didn't sign up for this SAL.
What a lovely tunic - it looks and sounds so comfy & cosy.
Have a wonderful weekend.
The January house finished up very cute. I peeked a look at the February one she designed and I like that one as well.
Your tunic looks very comfy, and the kitty on it really does look like Miss Cutie. She certainly is fluffy, and she sat so wonderfully still for you to take her picture.

Great start on the Maisons SAL They are very pretty designs and the colors are wonderful. I hope she keeps them muted like that throughout the whole year.
What a lovely picture of Violette. She is very pretty and quite photogenic!
Wearing that cuddly tunic after working out is a great incentive for exercising! I've added listening to podcasts during my workout and am finding I do actually look forward to my time on the elliptical! :D
Dear Isabelle,
Sorry I have not been able to comment on your blog lately because I was laid down with the flu. I am ok now so I have just started looking at the blogs.
Your Janvier block is beautiful. I really like the muted colours very much. The snow effect just picks the whole thing beautifully.
The tunic is lovely. I meant to ask you did you manage to buy any Liberty fabrics from Liberty stores at all?
