A Christmas Checklist

Hello friends!
This is just a checklist I wanted to write down... Feel free to skip the post if you're not interested! :)
I'm only writing it on my English blog, as my family will never read it here (especially not in English )

Done those last 2-3 weeks:

  • Sewn up Hélène's (little sis) gift
  • Made Catherine's (older sis) gift
  • Loom-knit Mom's gift
  • Hand-stitched Robin's gift
  • Machine-embroidered BIL's gift
  • Bought gifts for my Dad, brother and Seb
  • Fixed my terribly botched job on Seb's gift (yay for creative errors! I like it better than the initial plan)
  • Sent cards overseas (hope everyone got them)
  • Sent most cards within France
  • Put together and sent a birthday parcel to a dear friend
  • Sent a Christmas package to my best friend, Sylvie
  • Sent a thank you/Christmas package to Shashi (she sent me a big box that I put under the Christmas tree!)
  • Sent a wedding gift to Laure and Brice (they are getting married on the 23rd)
  • Sent a Christmas package to my AAS partner
  • Sent a surprise to a French lady who's been most unlucky in exchanges this year, and who's been very kind to me
  • Sent 2 RAKs to New Zealand
  • sewn up kitty ornies and added them to some of my cards (none to my faraway friends though as I made them after I had sent the overseas cards!)
  • Cuddled Violette a lot, as Seb has been away for work since Sunday morning (coming back late tonight!).
  • Pondered on my many blessings at the end of this year.

Still have to:
  • Send two cards within France
  • Design and sew a velvet case for Seb's new pen (grphics) tablet
  • Try and make a Christmas ornament for Seb
  • Pack for a week in Northern France (and include a few stitching and sewing projects!)
  • Relax and try not to be too sad at sending mere cards to my dear friends, instead of all the gifts I'd planned
  • Rejoice in the season and count my blessings (ain't that a never-ending task!).
~*~
Hoping this finds you all serene and joyfully anticipating the upcoming festivities!

Wow you have got so much done! I do love that little bit about cuddling Violette - awww :o)

What a great photo mosaic. How did you do that?

Your to-do list is still huge! Mine is too - why do we do this to ourselves?? LOL

Wow, I'm amazed at all you've gotten done, your list made me tired just reading it. I think you need to take a break, take a breather, and pamper yourself after getting that all done. Also, really liked how you set up your grouping of pictures, very cool.

With all the things you have been making for your nephew and your work, you've made plenty of things and you shouldn't feel sad about it.

I don't have your address :( so I couldn't send you a card.

But I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

Hello Isabelle! Haven't you been busy! I received our card and it's hung up in the window for all to enjoy. Max was curious which of my "computer" friends you were, and remember the cushion for Violette. :) He'd love to meet everyone in person, as would I!

You keep counting those blessings, and ignore silliness like wishing you'd sent out more gifts. And enjoy that gorgeous nephew of yours!!

Good gracious! you have done so much. You are truely blessed and deserve to be pampered. So have a lovely Christmas with your family and forget the things you couldn't get done. Time will come for them too so don't be too sad. Take care dear. Wishing you and your family a blessed and peaceful Christmas.

You certainly are a busy bee Isabelle!! Wonderful how you always take time in your busy life to think of others first.
Robin is growing so quickly and is absolutely adorable. What a fun time all of you will have with this wonderful family addition during the holiday season.

Thank you VERY much for your card. It came a few days ago (I think 3 days after the postmark) and I meant to email you right away. I was so excited when I saw my address on front with "Etats-Unis" on it. Knew it was from you. It's beautiful ,as is the message, and the sender!
Thanks also for your note on my Kidbits blog. I'm off to get my hair cut today. My hairdid is now a hairdon't. Don't cooperate, don't stay put w/ product, don't look good.
