Baby sewing

Thank you so much for your help concerning baby designs! Margaret, Shashi, Nicki and Anne, the links you gave me are great! Thank you!
A couple of French readers even sent me a few charts straight away ...

Pending their arrival (probably on Monday), I left the bibs on the back burner and went back to the onesies. I decided to stitch the remaining ones using my e-machine. Machine embroidery has definitely not the same sentimental value to me, but I do have fun using those cute machine embroidery freebies collected over the years - and my sister and brother-in-law love the onesies all the same!

My nephew's embroidered trousseau thus grew by a few more items today...

All five onesies my sister gave me are now ready for little Robin.

I still have blankets, etc. to make, but I finally feel as if Robin's trousseau list is under control.

Sorry I haven't been able to post a picture of the plum dress yet... Sébastien has been taking part in a science festival in Paris and has been incredibly busy - and away from home - all week, including today (he came back at 7.30). Hopefully we'll manage to take a picture tomorrow.
I did manage to find a pair of shoes today - and they were just what I was looking for, too - and 15 euros! The seller took a while to find them in my size, but he finally emerged with a pair from the depths of his backstore. Hooray! I know this is quite insignificant, but this, added to the joy of sewing for my first nephew and chatting both with my older sister (on the phone) and my younger sister (who came to visit), helped me distance myself from my problems - they're still there, and distressful, but I don't want them to have me overlook the good things.
Hopefully I'll still have that outlook tomorrow!

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. ((((Hugs))))

Isabelle, the onesies are just gorgeous :)

{{{{Big hugs}}}} to you - firstly, I'm glad you found some shoes (yay!) and I'm also pleased that you've been able to distance yourself from your problems a little bit. I'm sorry they're still there though; remember you can email me anytime if you need to chat :)

Lots of hugs to you again. I'm glad things are a little more cheery and hope they stay that way. And I'm SO glad you found some shoes! :)

The baby clothes look lovely. Still special even if they are done by the machine - you still had to set it all up and they're still unique! :)

Every mom can only wish she had a sister like you to sew for her baby! The onesies are adorable. I do believe my favorite among these five is that smiling orange kitty. :) Kudoes to you.

The onesies are all gorgeous - the machine stitching is lovely :) And that's great news you found new shoes woohoo!! I have a similar problem in that my feet are quite broad with high insteps, and I have a dickens of a time trying to find shoes ... I went mad in Hong Kong when I found a shop that sold ones that fitted ... came home with 7 different pairs teehee ;) It's normally a depressing shopping spree that ends up with nothing being bought, so I can emphathise with you big time! :D

I love the onsies! I think my favorite is the jumping lamb. You're so sweet to do that for your sister. Congrats on finding the shoes! I have a friend who wears a size 5 womens shoe and she often buys shoes in the childrens sizes (3.5 usually fits her).

Your nephew is a very happy little guy! And so are your loved ones, Isabelle. You are so full of love and dedication that it feels in your posts.
I do hope that things get better for you, and I sometimes regret that you are so discrete about yourself, but this is something I respect.
Sending you lots of hugs to try and cheer you up.
Lili
