My orchard is growing...

one fruit at a time...

Shepherd's Bush - The Orchard

I also finished my Friendship Exchange for Aniza. Hope you'll like it, Aniza!
On Friday, 3 packages left Paris: one is headed to Malaysia, for Zalita's Birthday; one shall only have to make a few dozens kilometres, to my very dear friend Laure, who'll turn 23 next Wednesday; and one should soon reach Mireille in Belgium, with the design for the Marquoir aux Oiseaux which I had offered to whomever should want it. Isn't it fun to send packages all over the world? ... Oh, I am so thankful for the Internet and the friendships it creates and fosters.

I made a little dress yesterday... Pictures ASAP.
I was also wondering: would anyone like a tutorial for the flounced skirt I made a year ago? I sent instructions privately to a few of you, but I realize I never got around to posting a full-fledged tutorial here . Who would be interested?
I wish you all a lovely Sunday. It has grown so hot in Paris... It is very hard to sleep at night as there is no air whatsoever. Not that I resent the warmth and sun, mind you! I was remarking to Seb the other day how we seemed to have gone from Winter to Summer without any Spring - and Karen made me the same remark about England the next day. Drawn Thread's Winter Into Spring doesn't seem to make any sense this year!

We've had the same sudden transition here, too, from winter to high summer. Last night there wasn't a breath of air to cool things off. But the sun during the daytimes is so lovely!

As for the tutorial, I'm always happy to try to learn something new, and that is a very pretty skirt. :)

The Orchard is looking fantastic! I am so glad your weather has improved! We just have four days of heavy rain and cold air again... warmer and sunnier again today, and I hope that pattern holds now!

Your Orchard is looking lovely Isabelle.

I'd love a tutorial, but I think it would be easier if I gave you the money and you made it for me instead ;) My skills with a sewing machine are below zero.

Your orchard is very pretty, Isabelle.

Oh Zabelle, I'd love a tutorial. but knowing me with my zero sewing skills, I think it would be 100yrs before I attempt one. And not to mention I look ugly in a skirt. *grins*

Good progress. Yes, although I do not sew yet, I would like to see the tutorial for the flounced skirt on the net. Thanks! Ann.

Dear Isabelle,
My posts are not appearing not sure why but could be a glitch in the cyber space. Just like to tell you again that your skirts are lovely and so is your orchard. If you post a tutorial I might try the skirt but I am hopless with sewing things for myself.
We are having some hot weather here too. Wish I didn't have to go to work though.

You are making great progress on the Orchard.

We went from Winter directly to Summer, but now we seem to be back in Spring! April was a very warm month and now it is kind of rainy and cold here! hoping for warmer temperatures this weekend!

Have a good week!

I would be interested in your tutorial. That would be great! I have one skirt I am going to cut apart and try to use as a pattern thinking of the cello..but two skirts would be even nicer. That will be incentive to stay away from cake for a nicer waistline...smile. I love your stitching 'garden'. You get so much done...its wonderful!!! I enjoyed your comment about sewing and reading at my blog. Reading...ahh. I just told my hubby, I don't know what my sister and I would have done if we hadn't been able to walk to town to the library growing up. We practically lived for books! What a good feeling to own a library card and present it at the desk to be stamped with as many books as they allowed you to borrow. I'm thinking it was 7. Happy day to you!

Yes, I'd like the tutorial too. I could sew a skirt sooner or later...

You feel the heat so much more when it comes on you all of a sudden. We had quite a heat wave 3-4 weeks ago with temps almost to 100F. Now it's been cool and rainy the last week. :D
Love how your little Orchard is coming along Isa!
