Hi everyone! Here is yesterday night's progress on Summer into Autumn:
Thank you all for your comments on my fabric mishap... I agree with you - I do believe the fault is on my monitor, and I shall have to use a "standard" computer rather than a laptop next time I plan to order hand-dyed fabric online!
I'm not too sure yet what I should do... I do like the fabric colour in itself: it is in one of my favourite color schemes; and I'm sure that I'll find a use for it - Lisa's suggestion of using it for Celtic Spring is great (thank you Lisa!); I'm also considering Mirabilia's Kiss - perhaps... But you see, ordering such a large hand-dyed stitching fabric is a real splurge for me, and I feel guilty about ordering a second one in a row!
This might sound a silly dilemma for many of you, I know!

At least kitty isn't laying ON TOP of the book, which is what mine does. He doesn't seem to understand I still need to see the words.
Awww you are in good company. Mandy, I have to keep an extra book or magazine or newspaper section for mine. lol
oh, I just looked at Kiss. That is beautiful, too. Decisions, decisions.
Your project is looking wonderful!
What a great pic of you and Violette! Such a sweet kitty! I could never get mine to just lay there like that while reading, she's too demanding. ;)
Have a great weekend. :D
For me is not a silly dilemma...I hope You'll find a solution!!
have a nice week end!!!
Cheers
PS Your work for Zoana are lovely!!!
You'll find the right one for that fabric, so many to choose LOL!! - Viollete looks like she has a big smile on her face sitting on her mums lap like that. DT - Is growing well. Have a nice weekend Isabelle
Hugs Su
Isabelle, I'm so glad the sun finally came out for you! Hopefully it will be a glorious spring weekend, with lots of outdoor fun. I have my fingers crossed!
I understand what you mean about buying hand-dyed fabric (it looks a lot bluer on Silkweaver's website to me as well and I have a good quality regular monitor). But I'm sure you'll find a use for this one and ordering a second one wouldn't be outrageous - you know what you're going to use it for and it is a one-off :)
That's a beautiful picture of you and Violette! She looks so blissful!
I totally understand that a hand-dyed fabric cut that large is a big deal. It would be for me, as well. So, I can understand your hesitation to order another one so soon. Can you hang in for a month or so and wait until they settle into their new location before you order? That might make you feel better? :)
You look so beautiful in that picture, with Violette laying so contentedly in your arms with a smile on her face. :)
Oo, love your DT sampler! I was wondering about Abracadabra when you said you were ordering it... it really is pretty... maybe Mediteranneo by Passione Ricamo? Looks perfect for that! Love the pic of you and Violette - aw!
Violette does look like she's smiling in her sleep; must've been a good book or a soothing voice reading her into such bliss. Are you enjoying the picture or the kitty more in this picture (silly question).
The cost of silk fabric is not a small matter. I hope you find the perfect inspiration to use it.
My cats can't share me and books. They will lay on top of the pages or half way up so I can't read the rest and get a bit pissy when you move them.
You've made good progress on Summer into Autumn
Awww! Violette looks so snug sitting there with you. Our cats won't sit still, unfortunately ;)
Great progress on Summer into Autumn - isn't it a fun stitch!
I enjoyed reading everyone's comments on Violette and on your own kitties! Violette usually sits on the book as well - but she was being super sweet yesterday! :)
Zoanna, I don't understand your question...?
This is not silk BTW - Lugana is a stitching (not sewing) fabric that is half cotton, half rayon ;)
Lovely picture of Violette, she looks so comfy there :)
You're makeing great progress on Summer into Autumn
Evie loves the picture of you and Violette! She's sitting on my lap saying, "Cat! Mee-ooow!"
I love the picture, too :)
I saw that you're in the friendship exchange. I REALLY hope I get you!!
Love seeing your progress on Summer into Autumn. It's such a sweet sampler!
Sorry, I was tired when I posted that, and my fingers fly faster than my brain. I meant to ask, "Were you enjoying the BOOK or the kitty more in this picture?"
(It kind of looks like you're asleep, too, but you have a good grip on the book and a tender hand on V.)
I also knew what you meant about the stitching fabric, but I think I had Silkweaver's in my head. I know it's now for sewing on, but for stitching, and pricey regardless.
I'm back and you have blogged a lot! Such nice things to admire again. I hope the week off have done you well, I think it did. Good luck studying and working.
what a lovely cat!
Your progress on DT is speeding along, its looking great so far :) And Violette looks so sweet asleep in your arms.
*Hugs*
You both look absolutely blissful!
What a pretty picture of you and Violette...enjoy the reading and stitching. Ann.
Today I decided to catch up on reading people's blogs. Who have lots of great finishes in the last few days. And of course all of them gorgeous as always.
Your Summer into Autumn WIP is looking great too.
Wonderful progress Isabelle :)
I have missed you! Thank you so much for the lovely e-card. You are so thoughtful and it made me smile :)
I have a box going out to you this week for your AAS and B-day :)
Hugs to you :)
Ohhhh. Isabelle.... this is the sweetest picture with you, kitty, and book. It should be on the cover of Cat Fancy Magazine!
Hi Isabelle, I have to say right at the start that I think this is a beautiful picture of you..would you mind if I took a copy & paste of it for my scrapbook or is that taking your bandwidth?? I love your stitching projects...they are just beautiful, and your kitty looks so happy and richly content there in your lap! ~~I am about to tune in to the HOme & Garden channel and see who won the Dream Home in NC they are giving away. 3 people have keys and they each get to try thier key in the door...oh how cruel for the ones who do not have the winning key...I groan for them mentally, and hope no one has a heart attack over it. Thanks for coming over to visit me and leaving me your sunny comments that always make me smile! I had the most wonderful experience in SC. I visited a quilt shop and bought some grab bags and in them I got 2 'Inspiration' needlework magazines that I just love. I'll be practising those bullion roses again soon...a happy thought! I must hurry away, I've got clothes in the washer to put over...take care, may your Sunday be a wonderful one!
