It was stitched on 32-count cream linen, using, Plum Honey silk from The Thread Gatherer, soie d'Alger (for the greens), and DMC thread (for the perlé and the browns and yellows). A pure delight to stitch - I shall truly miss it!
Here's a photo that shows the specialty stitches' relief:

I also started a new project, this time in very fresh colours.

It is from a French designer. I can't tell you what design it is yet, as I'm having my French blog's readers guess this...
Everyone have a great weekend! I plan to do a bit of sewing... To alternate with the stitching!

I somehow missed your post from a couple of days ago even though I've been checking. I suppose I didn't notice the date. :)
Summer into Autumn is beautiful. Your stitches are so beautiful, even in the relief. How? How? How?
I love the beads and everything about it.
I also really like the new one. It's certainly a change in colors, isn't it? I like them. I am becoming a "pink" person in my old age. LOL
Sounds like you've been having a wonderful time. I did some sewing last night. I was in desperate need of a way to get my shoes off the floor, so I made a shoe bag out of some fabric that's just been lying around for years. Now it's hanging in my closet with shoes in it. :)
Have a wonderful weekend.
Congratulation on the finish - it's lovely. Your new project has very pretty spring colors. Looking forward to updates.
Have you every seen Teresa Wentzler's "Tropical Dream"? It has loads of specialty stitches & techniques. Personally I haven't done any specialty stitching and plan to do her freebie "Tropical Daydream as my next project. You can find it at: http://www.twdesignworks.com/Free/tropicaldaydream.html
Have a good weekend.
Margaret
Great job on both your pieces. I love the color in the bottom piece:)
Bad blogger ate my comment.
I love both your projects - your spring start has such cheery colors that I can almost forget how cold it is here today!
Hi Isabelle! Oh that autumn piece is STUNNING!! Excellent finish! Congrats!! I like your new piece as well...the colors are so bright and vibrant. What are you using if I may ask?? I might want to obtain some of those threads myself...hehe
Have a great day!

Beautiful work, friend. I love alphabet samplers. Maybe it's the teacher in me. I have a throw that's an alphabet and schoolhouse theme, and a wallhanging that has a flower for each letter. Yours is by far the most elegant. Love the colors.
Summer into Autumn is gorgeous congratulations :) I love the colour on your new piece
Yay! Summer into Autumn turned out beautifully. :) I especially like the side view so that we can see the true 3D character of the speciality stitches. Wonderful work, Isabelle! And I like your very spring-like new start. I can't wait to find out who the design is. Have a great rest of the weekend! *hug*
Doing a happy dance for your beautiful Summer Into Autumn finish, Isabelle! I love seeing the view from the vantage point where one can realize the depth of the specialty stitching too.
Also love your newly started project. The fiber colors are gorgeous. Can't wait to see progress here!
Congratulations! Your Summer Into Autumn is stunning! You really must be so proud!
I like the colors on your new start very, very much!
Oooo, Isabelle! Congratulations on such a beautiful finish. These DT samplers are so charming, I know you'll be doing another soon. Be seeing you in the FGBB Drawn Thread sal!
It is just beautifull, congrats on the finish and the colors on the new one are beauties.
Ohh Isabelle, Summer into Autumn is really lovely congrats on your finish.
Your new project looks interesting, its got me thinking too as I'm sure I know the design, love the colour choices you have made.
Have a good weekend yourself.
Congratulations on finishing Summer into Autumn Isabelle - it looks gorgeous! I know what your new start is too ;) - it's looking lovely so far. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Very pretty finish Isabelle. I think I may have that one, from a contest I won.
You do such a fine beautiful work! It is lovely!
Your new project's colours are so beautiful! What threads are you using?
I hope you get enough rest!
Lots of hugs, dear Isabelle!
Congrat on your new finish!!! This is such a lovely sampler.
The new project seems so colorful...it must be a nice change
Congratulations! The new design with the fresh colours look great! Ann.
Summer into Autumn is a classic sampler! Job well Done Isabelle.
Summer into Autumn looks wonderful! I love that design and just have to stitch it some day myself!
Your stitching is beautiful. You still have a young brain that can both stitch and listen to foreign language TV simultaneously. Nowadays my eyes need magnification and my ears need to focus completely on French or Spanish TV to comprehend it! I am now experimenting with kumihimo weaving in front of the TV. Good luck with all of your textile adventures.
