My dear friend Jenna emailed me on Saturday that she'd received her gift! So I can now share it with you.
It all started with an attempt at Hardanger. Since Jenna's exquisite work truly inspired me to start Hardanger, it was only fair that she should receive my first little Hardanger piece! (although I was scared of her judgment!)

This is an Anchor design, from a leaflet I got at the London Stitch show last April. It was stitched with Anchor pearl cotton 1335 and 108.
From then on I decided to incorporate it into a little bag. As I wanted something cute and unique for dear Jenna, I designed a pattern for a trapezoidal purse :
Jenna's happy, so all is fine. And I discovered that I LOVED Hardanger!
I had such a blast stitching and then sewing that purse. With Jenna's permission, I am calling it the "Jenna Purse", since her personality inspired me to create it (I did try to match her taste and style in making up the pattern).
Tomorrow morning, I'll mail out Namuelle's Round Robin fabric and Annemiek's packages... Yes Annemiek, you'll get two, because one of the gifts couldn't fit into the first box !
Hugs everyone and have a good week!

The fabric was a gift from a French sewing friend... I love it! She did insist on my using it for myself, but it looked so perfect with the Hardanger's colours! And there's some left for me anyway

Would you like the pattern and explanations on how I made it?
I had a productive day, so tonight (right after I'm done writing that post!) I'm allowing myself a full evening with the Petal Fairy.

Hi Isabelle! It's great to be using my own computer again; I hope yours continues to be good to you :)
Congrats on finishing your first hardanger piece! It was made into a lovely project for a lovely lady :)
Congratulations on finishing your first hardanger piece. I know how good that feels, it's not that long ago that I finished my first hardanger. I love what you did with yours, what an awesome purse :-)
Have fun with your Petal Fairy :-D
Lovely purse, your friend will love it I'm sure. Your hardanger looks beautiful, I've yet to try doing some, yours certainly doesn't look like a first attempt, very accomplished.

Well done Isabelle, and I RECEIVED THE GIFT! THANK YOU! I wrote you an e-mail :-) Ann.
Happy Stitching with the Petal Fairy! Ann.
Your first hardanger attempt is lovely and I can understand why your friend is thrilled! I, for one, would love to see the pattern and how you made it. It's perfect.
Blessings,
Julie
There was no chance Jenna could ever NOT love it ... and I'm sure at least a couple of dozen others would give it a good home too ;) LOL - truly, it's beautiful, you really did a fantastic job on both the hardanger and the bag ... and I for one would love you to share your secrets (finishing is not my forte, and I really want to learn how to do more with my stitched pieces to make them more functional). Just wonderful, dear Isabelle! :D
It's lovely Isabelle. I'm repeating myself I'm afraid. The purse is wonderful in its own unique way. I love it and I think my daughters would fall for it too.
You have been busy I can tell, but with relaxing things too...
bye
Isabelle, what a lovely piece of hardanger, and the purse with that PERFECT fabric is so useful and unique. A one-of-a-kind piece I'd carry with pride (or even hang on the wall, lol) Your talent and attention to detail is refreshing, and your generosity with friends is touching. Hope I'm not embarrassing you ;-) It's true though.
Isabelle, it looks great. What an amazing bag. I'd love to se your instructions.
I'll look out for the packages, what a treat. Thanks in advance,
Annemiek
What a cute bag! You did a fabulous job with the hardanger. It's a bit scary (to me anyway) to cut and pull out the threads.
Congratulations Isabelle - you did an awesome job on the "Jenna Purse"!
Nice job with the Hardanger Isabelle! And I love the purse you made for Jenna! Have a great day!
You're so inspiring, Isabelle! I love the bag, and I'm glad Jenna did, too. I'm glad you're back to blogging, we missed you.
Oh, what a fun and lovely gift you created! Your first attempt at hardanger makes it look like you're a natural at it!
It is lovely, Isabelle! Congratulations on your first hardanger piece!I agree with Anne - who wouldn't love such a great gift! Put my vote in for the instructions as well, please!
It is lovely. Congrats on your first handanger piece!
I thought I would just take a minute to post a public comment that I was just over the moon to receive this special purse! As I've already said, I don't believe it was your first hardanger attempt; you stitch like a pro! ;) Thanks for being such a wonderful friend and creating such a beautiful piece for me. I will treasure it always. :) *hug*
