And reading and reading. That's how I've been spending my days lately. I'm in a phase of my PhD when I have tons of books to read and to take notes from. Now the academic libraries have finally reopened, I read and take notes at the library during the day. Back home in the evenings, I choose a reading that does not require taking notes, so I can read on the sofa. And Violette is very happy...
Why does she so love to show her tummy? Is it because it is so impeccably creamy-white and delightfully fluffy? Is it because she knows we will fall for her everytime she does this?

I received a present yesterday, from Carol! Yes, again! It is Truswell Designs' Esmeralda. Thank you Carol, it's lovely! My little sis just spent two days in Paris to find a place to live next year and to attend a meeting about her internship (it starts in late October). She spent the night at our place and she was at home when I opened the enveloppe - she thought it was beautiful too! It felt so nice to be able to share my enthusiasm, as Seb is not too keen on this type of design...

Violette looks so happy there with you while you are reading. I wonder why they always seem to do this when ever we are in the middle of something.
I wonder how you can still read after Violette lying there and showing her tummy...I'll end up petting the cat instead..lol
I do wish I have a cat just like Violette, she is so loving and tempting. :) No thanks to my allergies. :(
Violette is paying you the highest compliment a cat can pay you when she lays on her back like that. It shows that she loves and trusts you so much that she is not afraid to show you her most vunerable spot. Your kitty is very lucky and she wants you to know that she knows it! :)
Oh, every time I see pictures of fluffy kitties I want to get one. Rob is allergic, though, and that wouldn't be very fair to him! I hope that you're getting some relaxing time in, or at least that your reading is interesting!

What a pretty kitty! I'm surprised she isn't laying on top of your book! :) The minute I lay something down mine have to lay all over it. I guess they want the attention I will be giving my paper or fabric or whatever! She certainly looks happy!

Violette is basking in the loving presence of her mistress is my hunch. Oh to be able to relax like that and get such joy out of just 'being near'.
