Petal Fairy WIP

Thanks everyone for the comments about Taurus

At long last... I am spending some time in the company of the Petal Fairy again. We are both seamstresses after all, and you bet we have loads to talk about!
I've stitched about 3 hours on her since Monday, so there she is (click for bigger pic):

I bad at keeping track of my stitching time but I reckon must have stitched on her for about 18 hours.
I absolutely love stitching her and I have to say that seeing Carol's gorgeous finish last week made me very eager to take her up again!

She's looking BEEutiful, Isabelle :) I am glad that Carol's finish (it was surely gorgeous wasn't it?) brought this lovely piece back to life in your stitching :)

Thank you for sharing her :)

Many hugs to you :)

Hello Isabelle,
Wow she is looking great and my you have really got into the swing of things after getting back from your holidays. I loved all your pictures. They look so peaceful. Must have been fun walking around in such tranquille landscapes.

Dolls for Birthday and Christmas gifts, well that is wonderful news indeed. Have I got you bitten by the doll bug tee..hee.. With your other skills I am sure your dolls are going to look really pretty.

I have decided I am going to make a doll out of the picture of Poppy fairy in your blog site. I love her and besides she does have my pet name Poppy.
Hugs
Shashi

Isabelle, thankyou for sharing your bottle apron pattern with us. That was so very nice of you to do and you can tell it is really appreciated by everyone interested. There are going to be some sewing machines humming along this week, sewing up litte aprons, I'd say. Your Petal Fairy is a work of art in progress. I've always used Aida cloth to cross stitch on until about 3? years ago, a lady in a wonderful needlework shop got me started on linen. I have to confess, I was off to a good start and got side-tracked and never finished my beautiful piece. Maybe yet...its been a long day, so off to bed now for me. Thanks again for sharing your pattern!

Isabelle, everything starts with small beginings so I am sure your dolls will be lovely. They may be simple but they will be lovely and I am sure the kids who get it will love them too. Since they will be for kids I guess you have to keep them simple. But why don't you make just one for yourself and go to town with embellishments and put all the fancy stuff onto it just for fun. You will be surprised how a simple doll can be converted into an art doll.
You could do all that lovely cross stitch you do on the doll and add beads and ribbons etc. I can see many possiblities. Just give it a try one day.
