I've been so spoiled this week!

I received a bunch of lovely presents this week. Some are belated Birthday gifts, others are "just because" gifts. I am so amazed at my friends' generosity and thoughtfulness!

This morning I received a Tatty Teddy cross-stitch kit from my dear friend Karen.

It is so cute! I didn't have any Tatty Teddy in my stash, although I love those teddies, so I'm really thrilled. Thanks Karen, it was such a nice surprise!
Now I need to tell you something funny... Earlier this week, I had had to order a book of literary criticism for my work on www.amazon.co.uk (it wasn't available on Amazon France), and when I received Karen's package, I thought it was the book at first. Therefore I wasn't overly excited to open the package... It was just a book for my work! But I got such a nice surprise when I realized that what was inside wasn't a book, but a lovely Tatty Teddy kit and a cute card from Karen! Thanks again Karen, you really made my day today!
This is a very precious gift and I think I'll finish it like the little Newton I stitched for Karen. This way our homes will be have a common point (besides being ruled by grey kitties ) and it'll create a special bond!

Earlier in the week, I also received gifts from fellow French seamstresses whom I know from my Yahoo sewing group. Both are professional seamstresses and I am in awe of the neatness of their gifts!

Raymonde sent me a very clever item, which she designed herself: it is what you may call a "bag purse":
It looks like a purse when closed (the embroidery was made on an e-machine):

But actually turns into a grocery bag when you open it:

Isn't that the neatest thing? I love it! Raymonde was so kind as to write down her instructions for me, so I can recreate the "bag-purse".

Denise is another friend that I met through the Internet. She loves using her embroidery machine... She created a towel attached to a towel topper which you can hang at your oven door, or at a window handle. (the towel is attached with velcro to the towel topper).

She added a little sachet filled with soap, and attached it with the cutest kitty button!

As you can see, she united three things I am very fond of: sewing, cats, and flowers!

I didn't even know those existed before, but of course I want to make some now! They make great gifts.

Now I'm still wondering... Why was I so spoiled this week?? I feel completely overwhelmed!

Hello Isabelle, I think the 'Tatty Teddy' is so cute but my jaw dropped when I saw that the beautiful bag opened up into a shopping bag. How marvelous!
