Back to Stitching!

Here's a finish at last!

This is my stitching on Cha's round robin fabric. Margaret Sherry's Taurus Cattitude.
There were 11 French knots in all, but I find those for the cat's whiskers are a bit weird. I would have left them out if it had been for me, but I believe Cha likes faithfulness to the pattern, so... I hope she'll like those two little fellows!

Everyone has been stitching her sign so far... Although I wonder what Namuelle will do next, since she's a Taurus like me?
By the way, Namuelle lives in Provence but will be spending a few days in Paris this week - which means we'll meet next Friday!

I feel that I haven't had a stitching happy dance for so long... Feels good, even if it 's a small one!

Yesterday evening I even managed to start stitching on the Petal Fairy again: Mandy and I are resuming our SAL this week! I know I won't be able to stitch loads and loads each week, but still... I'll get there somehow! I love that project so much... I realize that if I want to fully enjoy stitching her, I'd better concentrate on the process rather than the outcome here!
Progress pic soon.

I also can't wait to show you the gifts I've been making for some friends' birthdays!

It turned out great! I think when Greg did his he left out most of the french knots as well, they seemed a bit much. I guess I didn't connect the fact that this is your birth sign...how fun. You and Greg share the same sign. I'm a Capricorn, so you can imagine how fun it is at our house some days. ;) Congrats on the finish! - Kim

Yes, aren't those bottle 'aprons' fun and cheery! I'm thinking years ago, I made a blouse out of that red print material. How nice you have the pattern. I may have bought the first one and taken a pattern off of it. We have a ladies garden club in a nearby town and they make all sorts of 'goodies'. With the profits they buy park benchs for the street and flowers. Its a lovely little town. We even have a tea room where my friends and I go. We deck ourselves out in lovely big hats the tea room provides. You never know what you'll find to bring home from that lovely store.

Isabelle, your Margaret Sherry project came out so CUTE ; ) Don't her designs make you smile every time? Thanks for visiting my blog. In resonse to your comment, the kittens have a backstitch around the stitching & are whipped shut. Next time I have my camera out - I'll try a closer snap & turn one to the back side. They are small & cute.
