San's Birthday Gifts

San's Birthday is next Saturday... And a little bird told me she already received my gifts. Can't believe how fast the parcel traveled. I mailed it out on Monday and she got it yesterday! It's as quick as within France. How wonderful is that!

When I decided what I wanted to make her, I had several ideas in mind - but in the end I couldn't think of anything more appropriate for San than a needlework set! The scissors fob was mandatory - when I stayed at her place in April, I lost them in the living room... Remember San? This should be handy to track them more quickly, even for her who seems to lose things less easily than I do!

I felt the pansy theme suited San too - her home decoration is in those colours, and she has such feminine taste... I hope it suits your taste San!

Hi Isabelle, I can repeat my comment: again you have made such beautiful things. I love the dress, I'm sure it wasn't difficult to sew... but for me it would.
San is lucky to have you as a friend: it's lovely what you made her for her birthday. I'm sure she'll love it!!
have a nice day, we still have the same weather, so these two coming days will be lazy ;)

Thank you Anneke! I wouldn't say the dress was easy... It asked for specific techniques this time. But still, I loved making it! :D

Good luck for that hot day ahead...

I'm a bit releaved not everything is easy for you... :) :) :)
I have an appointment about half an hour, but after that I'm gonna relax in our (big) garden. Our daugthers are going to swim, so it will be quiet around here. (yeah)

It was certainly the best part of that hot day receiving all those wonderful gifts !!!

It's funny, I've tied my stork scissors on the mini cushion as well ! So the picture is 100% accurate ;)

My mom already tried to take it from me !!!

Yes, it's a real succes, thank you very much !!!

Fantastic gifts. San is one luck girl. I love how you finished the side by using pinking shears. Very nice stitching.
