Hello everyone!
It's more than time I told you about the week-end and my mother's birthday. It was great, my mother was ever so happy and loved her gifts...
The only bad thing is that I caught the flu... and I feel terrible.
Besides, on top of our work Seb and I have been very busy lately calling estate managers and visiting flats: the flat we're living in at present is great, except that it's located in a very busy street and we get a lot of noise at night (as there's no double glazing). I've had serious insomnia troubles on and off for the last 5 years, and I simply can't sleep when the place is not perfecly quiet. I'm just fed up with this! I feel I'm very near to getting over my insomnia problem, but I will never succeed if there's noise... The final impetus came from our stay in the Alps - I managed to sleep as well as last year when I was living in North Carolina... And we've become even more sensitive to the noise since we're back.

To make a long story short, today we finally found the right place. It's slightly larger, very smart (in the Haussmannian style), and looks out to an inner courtyard. The other wonderful thing is that we will be able to have a cat at last. This is one of my oldest dreams...
And it's closer to all the places we usually go to - both our works, my brother's, the "Gare du Nord" (the train station to go to Lille, where my parents and my 2 sisters live).
The only thing is... We have to move in 10 days! And I'm knee-deep in work... and sick.
I'm not sure how I'm going to cope... But some way or other we'll manage!

I hope you understand that I won't be able to blog much for the next few weeks... Please be patient! I'll be stitching and blogging again soon, from a whole new environment!

Aww Isabelle. I hope you're feeling better soon. You need to be on top form to organise a move! I'm glad you found somewhere and am already looking forward to piccies of your new little kitty housemate.
moving is fun... not. But you can ask your brother to help, and Seb is there !!!
It's a good time to throw away useless junk !
I hope you feel better soon and are able to enjoy the move! It sounds wonderful! You will have to post a pic when you get situated!! Take care and feel better!! - Kim
Good luck with everything! It looks like you have rough weeks ahead. Hope you be better soon to do what is necessary.
I wish you good recovery and loads of energy for the move. It's a good thing to look forward to that you are going to be able to sleep better... Ann.
Good luck with the move! Hope you're feeling better soon.
I was glad to see you're surfing the web. I hope that's a sign you feel better! The flu has striken in our little country too, but our family has not been infected (yet).
