Hello everyone!
I hope you all had a nice week and week-end.

I hope you all had a nice week and week-end.
I'm back from a fairytale world...
It was really cold (-15°C in the afternoon on the first days), and we had loads and loads of snow (well, too much actually: there was no going out on the first day, and we skied twice under a snow storm!). But how beautiful and magic it all was, coming from Paris! And I know how to coss-country ski now. I love it, I really do! I think (at least, Sébastien thinks - he's been skiing for years) I got the hang of it.
I fell only once, on the first day - and honestly, this was with a storm of snowflakes flowing into my face.
In the evenings, once we were all warmed up, I read and stitched (provided my arms were still in working order!) all my heart's content. I read the whole of the Forsyte Saga! Something I could never have managed to do otherwise...
Look how cosy it looked.

Now you must be wondering what I was stitching... It's "Cautious" from Margaret Sherry's Cattitudes Calendar! I was stitching it onto my round robin powder pink fabric...
And tonight I finished him! So here he is:

I'm not sure yet where I'm going to put his name and mine... Maybe put "Cautious" above him and my name in the right-hand corner?
I really thought I'd be done in the train back from the Alps, but this was counting without the green background... This took me forever and those rows and rows of green nearly took all the fun away. I think I'll spare my fellow stitchers the background in the robin.
Anyway, I'm glad I put him to life - even though he looks so nervous!
This is the 3rd Margaret Sherry cat I've stitched to far... Believe me, it's far from being the last.

Well done Isabelle. And you look beautiful on the picture. I bet it feels good, having a full week of real holiday and stitching at wish. Good for you. Ann.
Glad you had fun and stayed safe!!! The winter scene you show - looks like my neighborhood! Tons and tons and tons of snow! Yikes!! Anyhow, nice to see you are back - cute cat too!!
Hi Isabelle,
welcome back! It must be the perfect holiday: being active all day and relaxing with stitching during the evenings. I would sign for it!
The cat turned out great! I think you all will get a great Round Robin.
Have fun with it and good luck going back to work.

Beautiful cat !!!
You stitch without your glasses?
He looks gorgeous!! May I ask what material you've stitched him on? It looks really nice!!!
Mandy
Thank you all for such kind words! :D
San, I usually stitch with my glasses... but you know how they hurt sometimes behind the ears? So I was taking a 5-minute break from them ;) But I can't go on long without them and that's why I'm looking so concentrated: I needed some extra focus. ;o)
Mandy, I bought the fabric in the "fabric neighbourhood" of Paris, which unluckily is just on the other side of the city (far North, and I live far South)... but it was worth making the trip, as the fabric is 100x160 cm and cost me 7 euros (4.8 pounds). The shop just had rolls of white and multi-coloured aida fabric on display, no name... Sorry I can't be more specific!
